How is the game played? Is it two players against each other or single player ?

so...before i forget i have this class. the game revolves around putting people's hand in dark boxes where they may or may not come to physical harm or such. but so far, the details are pretty hazy

so. using spiders as examples. what i was thinking of is a 2 player game. each player gets a box with a hole for them to put their hand in. the box is divided into 2 compartments with a divider board thingy. spider goes in one compartment(or so we tell them) and the hand in the other. each player is strapped to a heart monitor. the faster your heart beats, the quicker the divider rises? thats kinda too technical so we will just display the heart monitor and tell them if they reach a certain amount, we lift the divider.
that is just an idea. i think i have seen it somewhere before but i dont remember. kinda like that mindball thingy but with spiders

cockroach also freaks people out. and one of those long legged centipedes(that is just a personal one). and lots of ants. maybe red ant.

snakes and rats. but i dont want to buy a rat as a pet and snakes need a licence. and a dog is rather too big. we could do needles.

Umm yer. Floyd has heart beat monitors we could use. I think they are wrist ones. I like the two player idea. But if the spider is in a separate part it wouldnt be as scary for the player. I think there need to be some element of the unknown, where the player doesnt know if their hand is with the spider or not.

well the divider gets lifted if the player's heart is beating

Ok so the player is wearing the hert monitor, there is a box with 2 parts seperated by a wall that can be lifted out. Spider is in part 2. The player puts their hand in part 1. If the players heart rate goes up by, for example, 20, the middle if lifted out and the players hand is now in with the spider.
Is that correct?

or there could be multiple compartments that open up one by one as the heart rate goes up in stages. to add to the excitement.

this doesnt have to be really complicated. this is just a box that is big enough and a number of glass jars that can be opened up. no need to make dividers and stuff cos that is hard. but functionally, it works fine

If there was a glass jar with a spider in it sitting on top of the box where the player can see it. that would add to the scariness, then it could be tipped in so they see it.

to add to the fun even more, we can display pictures of spider bite wounds

we will just manually tip it in i suppose. and shake it. cos spiders tend to stick on to the glass

Yer. The higher their heart goes, the more spiders that get tipped in, in stages?

a setup that is something like this. and then the higher the heart rate goes, you put out the paper(the red thing) centimetre by centimetre. the spider could move or not move. the position is also random so the spider could fall in randomly as well. which is pretty scary
More shit that has to do with uni but are not as important
a shitty diagram

i dont want people to actually get bitten so we could prolly put a hidden divider that blocks the spider. the player wont know though

Is there a way that it ends though? Is it just until the player pulls their hand out.
April 15 at 1:03am

well i assume the moment the spider drops, the player would freak out and pull their hand out, there by concluding the game. the other person who didnt freak out wins and gets to gloat
